I could walk straight from the main building’s onsen to the neighboring one while still wearing my yukata, and there was staff directing cars when I parked.

I booked what was supposed to be a hotel, but the room felt more like a youth hostel, and the buffet was disappointing – I only ate there once and skipped it the second time.

The pool and other facilities were great, and the kitchen was well‑equipped; the beach was right there and the staff were lively and helpful. However, I found mold on the curtains and other unexpected spots, the bed was extremely hard, and the villa refused to provide an extra pillow, leaving my neck sore – not worth the price.

Being within walking distance of the Shirahama fireworks venue and close to a bus stop made the location perfect, and the spacious, clean room offered a pleasant ocean view. Although the place was mostly unmanned, that helped keep the price low, and we could still use the main building’s onsen and get assistance from its staff, so there were no real issues.

The spa was relaxing and the buffet breakfast was generous.
