“Disappointing. We settled for this level as it was listed as a leisure resort. It was not resort quality. Neglected i”
The location was convenient for accessing I‑25, but the highway noise was constant. The property looked neglected; “old and quaint” doesn’t match the rundown feel—carpet was worn, bathroom sinks were low, there was no fan, and towel bars were missing. The hairdryer was dirty, fuzz‑covered, and the ice machine near our room was broken that week, which was bad in August. Our room was very dark, lit only by a bedside lamp, with a dim ceiling light and a wobbly floor lamp in the far corner; we had to use an ironing board as a second bedside table. The coffee bar was dim, offered only instant coffee packets and no tea, and the fridge wasn’t cold enough, so we had to crank it up to keep food chilled. Ants appeared daily on the coffee bar and throughout the room. Outlets were scarce and loose, causing chargers to fall out. The patio was poorly maintained: broken bricks, gaps, heavy furniture randomly arranged, no seating, and the light was out. The fountain outside our room wasn’t swept, was full of leaves and not running; flowers were dry and weeds grew everywhere, a missed chance to refresh the gardens with rocks and bark. The lobby looked tired, not like the website pictures, and wasn’t cleaned daily. In August, the hospitality console offered weak water, no warm cups, and no fresh hospitality. The on‑site restaurant was overly dark, more like a nightclub than a dining spot. The resort’s “Leisure Resort” label was misleading; it felt more like a basic motel 6 or Comfort Inn. Front‑desk staff were unprofessional and barely engaged with hospitality.
