The cabin was at the top of the ski slopes, and at night it was very quiet. The staff were excellent and friendly, and the breakfast was divine. We stayed in an Aurora cabin, but during the day the privacy wasn’t 100% because two kids were playing with snowballs right outside our window. Another small flaw was that a window glass on our cabin was broken.

The location was fantastic, and the bed right under the glass roof with an unobstructed view of the aurora was a dream; nothing else was an issue.

The Star Artic hotel staff and the setting of the hotel make it a truly unique spot to enjoy the stunning Finnish landscape; perched atop a hill you get mesmerizing 360 views of the sun setting over the village below, and the food and service are of such a high standard that it left a lasting impression—Jamie, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay, so I’ve already planned a return visit in 2027; there was nothing negative.

The location on Saariselkä’s Kaunispää summit is unbelievably great, with amazing views, lovely staff, and breakfast; the ski slopes are nearby and the services are close by, so everything was very good.
