The hotel was clean and nicely presented, though a bit worn. Breakfast was good, but the bar’s smoke and noise in the evenings were noticeable, yet not so intense that I couldn’t fall asleep.

The staff were friendly and tidy, yet a lingering cigarette odor permeated the hallway all the way through. The facilities were good, but the lunch options were repetitive each day. Smoke on the second floor made me wonder if smokers were leaving doors open, and I felt the price was high for what felt like a luxury hotel in Norway.

The curtains could do with blackout quality, and the door codes should be silent; the noise from late‑night arrivals was unsettling. The room smelled strongly of smoke, which was truly unpleasant.
