“INSATISFATÓRIA”

The location is excellent, right in front of the bus station, with quick access to the roads that lead to the city center and the universities. My experience was very unsatisfactory, mainly because of the lack of communication and organization. First, I was assigned to another address without any prior notice. I arrived at the lodge I had booked through Booking and found no one to receive me. I had to look up a phone number to get in touch and was then told that there was no vacancy at the place I had actually booked and that, for that reason, they had put me in another lodge. That kind of change should have been communicated to the guest beforehand. I do not find it appropriate to simply change the accommodation without consulting or at least informing you before arrival. When I got to the new address, again there was no one to receive me, and I had to handle the whole process via WhatsApp. The room I stayed in also didn’t have a key, which caused me a lot of discomfort regarding security and privacy. Additionally, no towel was provided. I can’t say whether that was part of the mandatory amenities of the reservation, so I prefer not to make a statement on that, but it certainly contributed to a sense of lack of structure. The next day, I still had until 12 pm to check out, according to the terms of my reservation. Around 9 am, a lady, whom I believe is the owner, and another man arrived. Both stayed in the kitchen talking loudly. Because the space was small and the situation made me very uncomfortable, I ended up leaving at 10:30 am, even before the scheduled time. I understand that unforeseen events can happen and there may be reasons for a reservation to be altered. The problem, in my case, was the way everything was handled: no prior communication, no one to receive the guest at both addresses, and a structure that did not give me a sense of security or privacy. I hope the lodge can improve these aspects, especially the communication with guests and the organization of the service.

The spot is right where you want to be, but the check‑in was a mess. When we got there there was no room ready, and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes while the staff shuffled another guest out and finally cleaned a room for our family. The pictures online didn’t match anything we saw on the property, which was pretty disappointing, and we had to chase the manager for any solution.

It's super close to the bus terminal, which made getting around easy, but the housekeeping left a lot to be desired – the room didn’t feel clean enough for the price.

“Horrivel”

The room was barely big enough for a tiny bed, maybe 2 × 2 m, and it smelled awful with a rotten carpet that made the whole place feel rundown. Everything about the accommodation was in poor condition.
