It was a bit dated – the pillows and duvet should be replaced. No staff were present at arrival; the guy at the desk had to be prompted by a colleague to process my check‑in. I wanted to dine there, but with no staff I ate elsewhere. The pool was cold and unusable. The wellness area felt a bit uncomfortable and chaotic, though the sauna worked.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shine of recent years has suffered after the double sale of the hotel. There was mold visible in some spots of the pool, and the water temperature was only 26 °C, quite cool.

The wellness area was well equipped and clean. The dinner was terrible, the buffet only earned two stars. We’ve stayed at several hotels in Baiersbronn, and this was by far the worst.
