The owners are amazing – I felt like I was catching up with old friends. They’re welcoming, always ready to help, and very polite throughout the stay.

The place is gorgeous and feels like you’re really out in nature; the hosts are incredibly friendly. My room was both pretty and comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic with a lot of food they grew themselves. I’d definitely recommend it.

This little slice of paradise is perfect for unplugging: you can fall asleep to frog croaks, watch buffalo and birds, and soak up the quiet. Yash and his family treated me like family, which made the two‑week break from Paris life even better. Just remember to bring cash before you get to Soure – there’s no ATM for international cards – and pack some insect repellent.

If you’re after a nature‑focused getaway, this spot hits the mark – it’s beautiful and clearly well‑maintained.

The rural hostel is really good, but it’s a bit far if you’re there for the Marajó bike ride; staying closer to the event’s start point would have been more convenient.
