The staff were very friendly, the breakfast plentiful and the outdoor area lovely, but the beds felt too hard and the shower in the bathroom looked a bit dated.
The hotel was beautiful with a wonderful garden area and a pond for swimming, and the elaborate barbecue night in the garden with its enchanting ambience will stay with us for a long time, though the balcony was on the north side and therefore shaded.
The garden and terrace were really great with a wonderful breakfast buffet, and the wellness/sauna at the hotel and the parking right in front of the door were convenient, but the bed was really uncomfortable (the mattresses were VERY hard) and the staff were sometimes poorly trained.

The staff were very attentive and courteous, the room was very large and offered a nice view.
The breakfast and the restaurant were excellent (we took the half board with the dinner meal), the outdoor area was pleasant with a pond and sun loungers, the room was adequate and came with towels, a robe, and sandals to enjoy the spa area, the pool and the outside. We had a ceiling leak, and the staff reacted very quickly by moving us to another room. The room that was supposed to be air‑conditioned only had a portable unit that was too noisy and ineffective for a large room for three people. The balcony furniture was in very bad condition, completely torn. The pool had mold on the tile joints. The sauna was only turned on on request, so it never got hot. Old garden furniture was piled in various spots in the garden, ruining the view. The billiards table was in bad shape and located in the pool building that closes at 8 p.m., so we couldn’t play there in the evening. Moreover, the balls were not available. Finally, we had a major problem with the booking because the half board was not recorded by the hotel. The staff struggled to remember the information, which caused several mishaps at some dinners (not planned, so endless waiting). The staff, while friendly, seemed on some evenings to be composed only of young trainees who were completely overwhelmed (and who only spoke German). Once we waited 30 minutes for a beer and the first course, only to be told that brand was no longer available. In conclusion, the hotel has great potential, unfortunately it feels like a hotel that was at a 4‑star level but has not been sufficiently maintained and renovated and does not have a team at the level every day.
