“A real and authentic Moroccan home experience”

The place felt authentic and the family was kind. We arrived late and the mother whipped up a last‑minute dinner that was absolutely delicious, and the next morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Staying here really felt like being welcomed into a Moroccan home. The house is hard to find, so calling the owner for directions upon arrival is essential. Also, note that you won’t be sleeping on a conventional bed.

There was plenty of food and the hosts were very friendly, with a private bathroom. You can fill up as much water as you want, but it isn’t bottled water (they refill a bottle with tap water). There are no beds; you sleep on the couch, which is a bit too hard, so we used inflatable mattresses. Although the hosts are very friendly, they don’t speak French or English, though they try their best and call in a translator for the most important information. Getting to the hostel is difficult; it’s a house on a hill and you have to take a slippery road, which is especially hard on a bicycle.

I felt cheated, I was charged for a reservation and the place has been closed for a long time.

Nothing to add. The manager was not present and was out of the area; when I contacted him he said he was away, so we slept in the car after a 400 km drive, which was terrible—I’m very upset with the hostel.

The accommodation never materialised; the operator cancelled my reservation before I arrived.
