Al Salam Camp Bidiyah

There are no words to capture how wonderful the stay at “Al Salam Camp” was; the staff were incredibly kind, the food was tasty and plentiful, and the highlight was Said, who took us out into the desert in his 4x4, brewed us coffee and offered dates, was extremely helpful and shared a lot of information—I'd definitely return.

“Great service and comfort, but disappointingly commercial and not as remote as advertised.”

The staff was very helpful and we were upgraded to a tent instead of the room we had booked. The tent was very comfortable and well furnished, in the middle of nowhere. I didn't expect it to be so comfortable — we even had AC and a fridge in our tent. I didn't like its location — it was on the edge of the main road which leads to the desert. The hotel appeared to be a very commercial type of place. tents and rooms are lined up next to one another and it loses the charm of the traditional spirit of a remote place. The hotel is not inside the desert and that was really disappointing because we did not realize it from the pictures online

Getting there is easy, no 4x4 required, and the staff were fantastic, the guys really went out of their way to make me feel welcome; the food was delicious and generous, the outdoor lounge had a lovely vibe and was close to a large dune you can climb, but the bed was far too hard and could be improved.

The little house is charming and beautiful 👍🏻; nobody, everything was fine 👌🏻.
