Being within walking distance of both Copacabana and Ipanema was amazing; the staff were super friendly and helpful, and they even offered beach towels as a nice bonus. Breakfast had plenty of choices and plenty of room to fit everyone. The downside was that the hot water ran out frequently, and construction around the pool made it hard to relax.

The beach is just a short stroll away, and there are plenty of places to eat and a supermarket nearby, plus a peaceful park right in front of the hotel. The rooftop pool feels airy and the view is great. However, the breakfast lacked any salad, and the minibar in my room stocked cola and water that cost extra, yet there was no price list in the room or any explanation when I checked in. The housekeeping was pretty careless—glasses never got replaced, there was dust under the bed, and towels were missing daily. The room also didn’t have a toothbrush, tissues, or slippers, and while the morning shower was hot, the night shower was painfully cold.
