The breakfast spread was solid and, even though it’s technically an extra charge, the host kept a stash of coffee pods and brewed fresh coffee each morning. The room was spotless, the bed super comfy and the blankets smelled great, and the host was genuinely friendly and helpful. On the downside, the TV only caught one channel—probably because the Wi‑Fi was flaky—and the two long flights of stairs make it a hassle for anyone with limited mobility.

The place sits right where you need it—close to shops, restaurants and everything else, and it feels clean, comfy and safe. For the price I’d have liked a complimentary breakfast, though. The downside is the lack of clear safety info for guests and a few minor fixes needed, like better door locks and some exposed plumbing and wiring that could be a concern for kids.

Val was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome, but the room was uncomfortably cold and there was no heater to fix it.

We stayed warm the whole time, which was a relief, but the front desk was a bit disorganized and the hot tub didn’t work at all.
