Located on Frymburk’s edge of Šumava National Park, just 50 m from Lipno Dam’s sandy shore, Penzion Markus offers a terrace‑restaurant, free Wi‑Fi, and rooms with satellite TV, hardwood floors, and private showers. Guests enjoy bike, ski, and windsurf storage, a computer station, and on‑site parking. Nearby, an aqua park, wellness centre, 10‑km skating trail, and ski slope lie within 200 m.

The location is very good, the dock is 3 min on foot, the restaurant and supermarket are right next door, and it’s very central for car trips. Great sights a few kilometres away, easily reachable by car. Own parking. The beds are very hard, the headboard isn’t adjustable. The TV (German channel) is often disrupted.

The staff were always friendly and helpful. The pension is very central in Frymburg. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom modern and functional. In the on‑site restaurant with its own brewery we had two great, tasty dinners. In our room above the bed and especially in the bathroom there were many spider webs. Unfortunately there were also plenty in the hallway in front of the room.

The beer, pizza, breakfast, coffee and friendly staff were all superb, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and family‑friendly. I was satisfied with everything and would gladly stay here again on my next visit.

The breakfasts were excellent, the room was really large with a nice, clean bathroom and plenty of storage. The restaurant below us stayed open until 21:00, and after 22:00 it was really quiet, even though the hotel is right in the centre and the window faces the square.
