The place sits right in the city centre yet feels calm enough for a good night's sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they welcome dogs. Breakfast is home‑cooked and the hotel has a charming vibe with blue carpet, old‑school wallpaper, and vintage pictures in the corridors. The only downside is that it could be cleaner, especially the bathroom and the breakfast room, but otherwise there were no major issues.

We spent two nights at Lost Guest House and it turned out to be a pleasant stay. The room was cosy and comfortable despite the single‑glazed window, and we enjoyed a lovely view of Park Church with its stained‑glass windows; sometimes you could even hear the organ inside. Ally at reception was straightforward, not overly chatty, but friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily, and we appreciated the small touches like having our bins emptied and coffee, milk, and sugar replenished after the first night. The guest house is conveniently close to the city centre and surprisingly quiet, with a few parking spaces in front of the building for car travellers. We didn’t try the downstairs breakfast, but it was offered on arrival and we could decide in the morning whether to have it, which we liked for the flexibility. Overall, Lost Guest House is a solid choice for comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price.

Check‑in was straightforward, the room felt nice and homely, and the bed was comfortable. It’s also a short walk from Stirling Railway Station, which is handy for those arriving by public transport. I can’t think of anything that was lacking; everything met my needs.
