“昔の田舎の親戚の家に泊まりにいく”

I stayed in a rustic old farmhouse that was used for silk rearing, surrounded by green hills and the sounds of insects and birds, which gave me a real sense of being in the countryside. The place was much cleaner than a typical town hotel, but it still had a lot of bugs, and I couldn’t say it was spotless; however, the owner’s hospitality was excellent and made up for everything.

“Fabulous rustic farm stay & amazing hosts”

The farmhouse is set in a beautiful rural valley, with a clear creek running past it, and the old wooden structure feels like a hidden gem. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

We felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and I highly recommend it if you’re spending a few days in the Matsumoto area.

“Great experience in a traditional Japanese home”

This place is an experience. The hosts are super friendly and amazing people. From the welcome, beautiful dinners and breakfast to playing with our kids and having nice conversations, everything was great. The house is a rustic farm‑like building about an hour outside of Matsumoto. You sleep in a traditional tatami room on futon beds (note, these are not western style beds). The home‑cooked dinner and breakfasts are delicious, and although there’s no menu to choose from, the food was different and tasty every day. We made some great memories here. Thank you. The house was a little dusty and the towels need replacing.
