Clean & comfortable bed. Location good & central for various visits. Helpful staff taking cases to room & bringing down to car on leaving. I think advice on access to rooms & awkward stairs should have been mentioned at booking.Blind in room not working & cracked window pane plus plug in sink not working. Notified staff but nothing done. Evening meal were left unattended for ages after main course & had to go ,& find member of staff.Design of bathroom not ideal for person with disabilities - sloping floor plus step down to toilet etc

The place is in a great spot and the room was simple yet just right, with a bathroom that was top‑class. The duvet felt too heavy, and a refuse truck parked directly under our window at 5.20am was quite annoying, though that seems to be a rare occurrence.

The location was excellent, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom with its tub had amazing water pressure; the staff were very kind. However, the place seemed to be a bit misleading: I chose it mainly for the downstairs restaurant, which looked elegant and interesting, but the menu and photos were outdated, showing only pub food that didn’t match the actual offerings. The few times I dined there, the food was subpar, giving a completely different experience. The staff were great, but the use of old photos made it feel like they were intentionally giving guests the wrong impression. Removing those outdated images would help guests know what to expect.
