“This hotel is a disgrace to Hawaii.”

Nothing good. Absolutely terrible hotel—the worst experience of my trip to Hawaii. It’s an embarrassment to the state. I’ll never stay here again and have black‑listed it. From booking to check‑in, the stay, and the facilities, everything was awful. After booking, I tried to cancel and get a refund because my plans changed, sent multiple messages and emails, but no one responded. When I finally asked for help, the staff still didn’t reply. I changed my multi‑night reservation to one night, which was confirmed, but when I arrived to check in they said they’d already cancelled my reservation. I showed them the confirmation, but they ignored it and wouldn’t honor it or issue a refund. I had to contact them again and push for intervention. After a formal refusal‑to‑accommodate process, they finally said everything was fine and the reservation had been fixed, apparently because they were worried about consequences. By then I’d already spent over an hour waiting past 10 p.m. to get the hotel to honor a confirmed reservation, and the problems didn’t stop after check‑in.

“Great value, further from Kona than I would have liked. Seemed great for kids, tons enjoying the pool area”

The style is older and somewhat dated, but the room we stayed in was renovated and spacious. We had a club room, which was great value considering the breakfast (small but with enough choices) and pre‑dinner snacks and drinks. All the team members were very helpful, though the overall feel was somewhat dated.

The place is great for both kids and adults, with spacious rooms and a shop on the property, plus plenty of space on the grounds. The breakfast, however, is a bit pricey.

“Great hotel, room and pool!”

The pool area is lovely, featuring a slide for the children and a separate adults‑only pool if you prefer that. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are large, and the balcony is a bonus. The restaurants offer only a few vegetarian options.

The staff is friendly and the facility is good. If the close time for swimming pool could be late (till 10pm), that would be much better (as most night time you will need to spend in the hotel.)
