The owners are incredibly friendly and the breakfast was out of this world – fresh‑baked bread, a lovely braid, homemade jam and natural yoghurt that made me feel right at home. Honestly, I couldn’t spot a single thing that needed fixing.

If you like a short stroll or bike ride, the spot can’t be beat – it’s only about a half‑kilometre walk along the river to the charming old town of Stein am Rhein. Our room came with a tiny balcony, plenty of windows and a super comfy bed, and the hosts were always welcoming, serving a solid breakfast each morning. I’d definitely book again.

We were welcomed warmly, even earlier than the agreed‑upon time, which was a relief after a hot bike ride around the lake. The family is genuinely nice and took the time for pleasant chats, and the room itself was roomy and quiet. It’s also just a 15‑minute walk to the centre of Stein am Rhein.

A family‑run B&B that feels very personal, with a top‑notch breakfast and a roomy room that looks out over the castle and the Rhine. Everything felt just right.
