Being in the center of a small town means you can walk to anywhere. The room and dining area are meticulously coordinated, whether you prefer a classic or modern style, and the color scheme of the furnishings is beautiful. The English full breakfast is superb, and other options are also available. The staff are friendly and warm. Looking out from the window over the roof, the scenery of Whitby’s harbor and headland was soothing.

The location was incredibly convenient, and the room was spacious with a large shower, bathroom, and walk‑in wardrobe, plus excellent breakfast. The only downside is that it’s up two flights of stairs, so it might not suit everyone.

The décor is fantastic, especially the old bookshop feel, and it’s close to nightlife and a short walk to the railway station, but the stairs to the rooms are steep.

The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable; the staff were all lovely. No complaints.
