The location is definitely the biggest advantage, close to nightlife, no need for transport, shops right on the street. The downside is the loud generator or water pump outside the window.

The spot was great, about 250 m from the Dom, right in the centre. That meant parking was tight; only residents can park in the city, and the parking garage was a 15‑minute walk away, costing 15 € a day. The room was clean, had everything needed, a bit small but still good value because of the location. It was close to restaurants and cafés, which was a big plus. The stairwell looked a bit run‑down, the room itself was fine with just the basics. We had a brief issue getting into the room, but that was fixed quickly. Contact was only via WhatsApp, but someone was always reachable. The power supply came with a cable, which was interesting but fine. Unfortunately the window wouldn’t close, so we slept all night with it open.

The place was spot on, right in the heart of Ortigia. The bed was comfy, clean towels were provided, the room was tidy with storage space, and the access was clearly marked. The only thing that didn’t bother us was the narrow staircase leading to the room under the loft.

Central in Ortigia, that’s a plus. The first room was very noisy, no soundproofing, and the outside staircase to the other units ran right in front of our window. Finding the hotel was a challenge in a tiny alley with only a small sign, and we couldn’t talk to anyone in person. The lack of commercial spirit—due to unreliable information—meant our train didn’t run, so we lost a night of accommodation. The promised goodwill gesture for an extra night never materialised.
