The staff were quite likable and helpful, the accommodations offered great value, especially in a busy tourist spot, and the showers had good temperature control. The hostel beds were quite stiff; I adapted to them, but others should be aware that the mattresses can feel either stiff or soft.

Quiet away from the main area, a 15‑minute walk to the beach, great tours and transport options available from the hotel. No negatives.

I loved how close the place was to the beach, but the noise from the music that kept playing until 3 or 4:30 am was completely unbearable.

The spot is right near everything – the beach is just a 7‑minute motorcycle ride away. The staff were super friendly. The room had a microwave, both cold and hot water, cutlery, and dishes if you want to eat there. They also serve breakfast and lunch, offer excursions, and rent motorcycles and bikes. My private room was comfortable, a basic setup with a balcony overlooking the mountain. The air‑conditioning was very loud, the bathroom floor was littered with hair, and even under the sofa there were hairs, indicating only a superficial cleaning. The shower was almost directly above the toilet, so water splashed everywhere – but that’s typical for Thai bathrooms.
