The guesthouse sits right on the road to the fort and even has a little bar right on a gorgeous beach. We could grab a drink at the tables facing the sea and actually enjoy some peace, unlike the crowded, touristy spots on the island. Prices felt fair and both the meals and breakfast were really tasty.

Stayed at Santo Gole and everything was spot on – the room was comfortable, the vibe around the place was pleasant and the staff were friendly. I didn’t run into any issues at all.

It was a very simple place but it covered everything I needed, no frills needed.

The welcome was warm and the staff got us settled quickly; the spot right on the ocean is fantastic and they even provide chairs and an umbrella for guests. The shower was a bit temperamental, and it would be handy to have bikes to rent since the main attractions are a little out of walking distance.
