The same owners greet you, and Harry—an excellent hiking guide—really knows his stuff. Everything is great.

A very nice area on the quiet upper end of the La Alameda valley at Valle de Bravo. The owner prepared a superb breakfast for us. Great value for money. A very cozy golden retriever. Warm shower water is a bit of a puzzle; you have to figure out which flow of the outdoor water heater to turn on and how to open the taps so you don’t steam up while the heater keeps heating the water.

The hotel’s location is spectacular, about a 25‑minute drive from Avandaro. The trail behind the hotel is beautiful and totally worth walking. The owners’ service was exceptional, making us feel very comfortable and attended. A hug to Harry, a very special Labrador who guided us on the trail. The room I stayed in was a bit narrow but functional; you could look for wider rooms in the same hotel.
