Tatak Balabac Beach Camp in Balabac, Palawan, boasts a private beach area with direct access. Recently renovated rooms feature air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and modern amenities. A halal Asian breakfast is served daily. Guests enjoy walking tours, hiking, snorkelling, and evening entertainment. The camp offers a restaurant, shared kitchen, minimarket, outdoor fireplace, and picnic areas, with free on-site parking.

A little slice of paradise on an amazing island! Service was excellent, the stay was full of joy with on‑site excursions led by great entertainers and free drones for filming the white‑turquoise beach. Huge thanks to the whole team and Alaska for their kindness and service.

The food was fantastic and they even arranged picnics for island‑hopping; the staff were very kind, the setting featured a gorgeous beach and the cabins were right on the water. While we were away they secured the door so no water got in. The downside was that there were only three showers and the water pressure was low.

The location… the bungalows are on the beach. The staff are very pleasant! A big thank you to Alaska, who is amazing and very professional! Also thanks to Jen for the excursions, which are extra and make you have a great time! Thanks to the whole team! An effort could be made on the toilets… The food isn’t enough during excursions and on site… especially when you’re with a group that can’t keep together and doesn’t think of others. Still a great rating because we keep an incredible memory of those 3 days in Tatak!

The bungalows themselves were fairly clean and tidy, and during the day the island feels peaceful and quiet because most tourists leave for tours. The food was delicious. As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the air conditioning was not working. Every day we were told that it should be fixed “tomorrow,” but the same thing was repeated throughout our entire stay and it was never repaired. There was also almost no phone signal or internet on the island. The girl working there barely spoke or understood English and was very unfriendly. We also found cockroaches in the bungalow. Another issue was the aggressive dogs around the area, so we had to walk very slowly and carefully. What shocked us the most was the amount of large glass shards both in the water and on the beach. Thankfully, during our 3‑day stay, neither of us got injured. The beaches were only clean near the campers but walking further away was honestly upsetting because of the amount of trash everywhere. The food was decent but if two people stay in one bungalow and only one person wants to eat or share one portion, it is not allowed and you are still forced to pay for two meals. The staff overall was unpleasant and unwelcoming.

Simplicity and beachfront. The staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable. A special thanks to Dayang that went above and beyond to please our requests. She deserves recognition! The breakfast could’ve been a little better with more options. They should keep the surrounding more clean, especially the neighborhood attached to the resort and also keep the beach itself clean. It’s sad to see a lot of plastic around!
