“Piękna posiadlość z fatalny managementem”
The property has great potential and the breakfasts are good. The staff are helpful and friendly. However, the management is disastrous. At 5* hotel prices, the service feels like 1*. The manager constantly makes guests feel like a nuisance. During check‑in she demanded we declare whether we’d eat breakfast the next day “in advance” and pay immediately—something I’ve never seen elsewhere. The pool has no attendants, and the manager immediately reprimanded us for bringing anything in, which hurts the hotel’s food turnover. The lunch menu offers frozen pizza and baked goods that taste like Orlen station fare. The spa is non‑functional despite its name. The most frustrating moment was when we drove up to the doors; a cloud was breaking and we wanted to keep a friend in the building dry, but the manager scolded us again for parking there and told us never to do it again. She didn’t think to provide umbrellas or a doorman assistant as high‑class hotels do. We were a large group of returning friends, yet rooms were often not cleaned, and dinner took half a day to be cleaned up unless we explicitly asked. When we complained, the manager’s answer was to return the tip she had received the previous day. Bareja would never have imagined this. We were the only guests in the hotel, so it’s a shame for such a beautiful place with huge potential.
