I didn't have breakfast. It would have been nice to have our own bathroom, especially since I was staying with my young son, but he was okay using the communal 3rd‑floor bathroom while I was close by.

The price, the location, and the flexible arrival were positives. The room was cramped and badly sound‑proofed, and the bathroom was tiny. Ben and Breakfast only offered the Bed because no breakfast was available during our stay, which was frustrating!

The place was awful and I wouldn't stay here again. On arrival I saw my room had stained carpets and walls, and the floor was so disgusting that I couldn't go barefoot. When I woke up at night and needed to use the toilet, I put my feet down and felt the dirt and grease in the carpet. There was no hook for my coat or to dry my towels, so nothing dried overnight, and I had to improvise by hanging my wet coat on the fire door hook. We were told we would have complimentary breakfast but then I received a message on the day of arrival saying they wouldn't be offering that and to ask for alternatives. I was leaving at 8 am every day to go to the boat, which made it harder because I hadn't planned to find breakfast first. I went to a shop and bought some porridge in a cup as a solution, but when I tried to make it the kettle was broken. I requested my room be turned over three times and it only happened once. I was left with wet towels and rubbish in bags. I tried to take the rubbish out myself but there was no larger bin or rubbish bin outside. Overall, awful place and I would have been better in a backpacking hostel, where at least I would have had access to a kitchen.
