Being isolated from everything means no cell reception, though there is basic satellite internet, not suitable for work. There are camping and hiking facilities, the fireplace is lovely, and they don’t charge for the firewood—they light the fire for you. The location is in the middle of the forest; the road from Huasca could scare many because it’s lonely and dark, but personally I liked it. They offer a cancellation option, but the goal is to be in nature.

The cabins are very pretty and comfortable. We were handed the room at 4 pm, while the listing said 2 pm; they compensated by giving us a pass to the trout park.

The place was quiet and had all the facilities I wanted, and everything else was fine.

The cabin looks gorgeous, spotless and comfy, and the facilities are stunning; walking access to the park with the lake and the food area is a bonus, plus the welcome coffee is fantastic and you can sip it anytime; the staff are very friendly, and I love that they have adorable dogs.
