A beautiful room in a large villa. Helpful and flexible service, plus a beach with ocean view about 200 m away. The access road is poorly maintained, just a small hundred‑metre stretch off the main road.

The food was great, the room spacious, and the air‑conditioning worked well. Staff were flexible and provided soap; the bedding was clean. The house itself is spacious and beautiful. However, the location is terrible because the access road is hard to drive on and might become impassable when wet. It’s close to the beach, but you have to drive 4 km to reach one; there’s no direct beach access. The bathroom and toilet were dirty, and a large spider hid behind unsealed tiles. There was no toilet paper, and the Wi‑Fi was non‑functional. I think it’s overpriced, but it could be great if they fix those issues. Despite the description claiming staff speak English, only one staff member spoke a minimal amount of English; it seemed they only spoke Malayalam, as Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil were not understood.

The colonial house on its own grounds is stunning. The house sitters took good care of us, though no English was spoken, which made things a bit tricky. We ate good quality home food, but were charged at the end—acceptable, though not disclosed upfront. The beach across the road is amazing; it feels so remote that I got the impression we were the first guests there. Overall, a good experience and the food was amazing, but watch out for hidden charges. The description mentioned a bar, but none was available.
