It was fantastic. The location was perfect for everything, even the beach. The staff were amazing and the breakfast was delicious.

The staff were all very good but clearly overworked; the lady at the breakfast restaurant was lovely yet had to juggle almost everything, so things fell short but it wasn’t her fault. Ewan, the only person on duty later that day, was a great guy handling reception, bar duties, and morning prep all alone. The room photos were misleading – the first room was dirty with cobwebs and dust, the shower mouldy, the grout and sealant black, and the curtains too long for the windows, which had no nets so anyone passing could see in; it was a basic room that didn’t justify the price. I had to pay an extra £90 for breakfast for two of us over three days, and honestly it wasn’t worth it. We upgraded for the second and third nights, paying £44 extra each, and it was better but still poorly decorated; bathroom fittings were rusted and discoloured, there was no towel rail, and the room wasn’t cleaned while we were out – no extra tea, coffee, bins emptied, or bed made. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked like it needed cleaning. The exterior was generally unkempt, the restaurant closed in the evening so we ate elsewhere, and overall I was disappointed with this boutique hotel 😔

The position was okay. There were no lifts, insufficient parking, and the parking area was in bad condition. I slipped and fell there, couldn't get up on my own, and needed help from my husband and daughter. I have bruises on my operated knees and ankle, and my husband is bruised from trying to stop me from slipping on the shingly surface. The hotel only offered an ice pack and did not provide any other assistance or record the fall in their accident book.

Good location, lovely friendly staff. Comfortable beds and great breakfast choices. Added bonus of having a pool and sauna. We have stopped in quite a few Hotels in Shanklin over the last 20 plus years and this Hotel is one of the best.
