“FOR LOCALS MAINLY”
The location was easy as we were travelling by train the next day very early via Mumbai Central. The porters/bell boy were very helpful. Contacted in advance regarding our early arrival and to assist in keeping our rooms ready. However, upon arrival this was not the case. We had to wait on the top floor basic canteen which was an obvious ploy for us to purchase food/drinks. We requested twin beds and despite advance request we were allocated a double bedroom with no windows. They would not even give us a spare bedsheet/cover. In the evening requested to pay the food bill but the manager said he would let us know after 10pm we needed to get to the train station at 5 so an early night resulted in numerous calls from the manager to the room up until 11pm when I told him I will pay in the morning. He said cash only at that stage and when I did pay in the morning the staff did not have any change! I requested a receipt and said he would send it by 9.30am but still to date nothing has come through. THIS IS FOR LOCALS!
