“COMO DESCONECTAR EN LA CANTABRIA RURAL”

Just to set the record straight: this is a rural house, not a hotel or anything similar. The house itself is very pretty and rustic, and the surroundings are even more beautiful. The views are incredible, and the facilities are basic but adequate. The owners responded very quickly if any small issue arose. On the downside, some kitchen utensils were a bit old, which didn’t stop our large group of 6 adults and 4 little girls from cooking, and there was no Wi‑Fi.

The views from the house are stunning, and if you’re looking for peace it’s ideal. However, the house needs a complete overhaul: the headboards are rusted, a window sash is loose, the mattresses are very old, spider webs cover the antique outdoor furniture, the shower curtains are dirty, and overall it feels neglected.

“Mala experiencia en la casa”

We went to the house for our mother’s 70th birthday. The first thing we noticed was how bad the place was, so we had to manage. The only good thing was the lovely village of Lierganes. The house sat up in the mountains, which was scary being so far from town. Towels smelled bad, the wardrobes were meant for trash (gross) and stank, the coffee maker and toaster didn’t work, the grill was old and tiny, the beds were uncomfortable, one room had rusted iron headboards, the wardrobe was for trash, they barely let us bring firewood and the few pieces we had were pallet splinters, a chunk of oak, and a small bag of charcoal. There were also many bugs; each day we woke up with several bites. Truly, I would not recommend this house.
