Parador de Argómaniz

The Renaissance‑style building sits in a peaceful, green setting, and the bar room overlooks a lovely terrace and garden. The room itself is very pleasant, with a welcome bottle of water and small pastries that were much appreciated. A set is provided in the bathroom. The staff are generally very friendly. We would have liked bathrobes in the higher‑category room, and the breakfast was just average.

Great location, very quiet, beautiful building, and the rooms are very comfortable. We also ate well that evening; the staff had to get moving, but the order went smoothly.

“Standard Parador but no real views.”

The place is clean and comfortable, and the receptionist swapped our room for a better one when we mentioned how sad the accessible area looked. The new room opened onto a private terrace, but the metal table and two chairs were set on a tiny tile patch beside a wall of leaves and sad grass that was dark and unlikely to be used. She kindly gave us one with a garden view instead. I expected better views from somewhere on the property, but there aren’t any; you only see a lawn in front of the bar area, and the side view is blocked by houses and trees. The landscape shown on the website isn’t visible from there—it’s truly just “the surroundings.” I had high hopes, but at least the room was fine and breakfast was good. Parking is included.

“Good location for the ferry”

A good overnight stop near Bilbao’s port. The rooms are large and well equipped, each with an outside terrace. The check‑in staff and restaurant team were friendly. We were only half booked, so the food quality was solid and there were plenty of options.
