“Great, cheap, classic breakfast, and an overall friendly vibe”
I liked the comfy beds and the roomy space. The breakfast area felt like a home kitchen, which was oddly charming. The showers and bathroom met hostel standards, were very clean, and definitely adequate. The ski room was tucked under the entrance stairwell, making it a bit of a hassle to move things in. The bar below was loud, with some great singing, but it didn’t disturb sleep, and we were probably the closest room to it.
“Avoid unless you want to stay up all night and be surrounded by obnoxious drunks.”
Breakfast each morning was decent, with good quality but very tiny portions; the only way to get more was cereal or toast. The noise level was unbearable. I didn’t realize the rooms were above a bar—specifically a destination for Australians who yelled until 12:30 am or 1 am, gathered outside the rooms, and sometimes stayed loudly in the hallways until 3 am. They seemed more interested in partying than skiing. The bar itself isn’t cool; it’s just a bunch of loud Aussies and a few Americans who want a place that feels like home, not Japan, which is pretty lame. The staff, mostly Australians, were indifferent about providing good service.
Great place to stay with friendly staff who were very accommodating.
The beds and rooms were great, and the main host was fantastic! But if you’re a couple or family just looking to ski or snowboard, this place isn’t for you. The bar, loud staff, and nearby house parties really spoiled our skiing experience. You’d do better to pay an extra $30 for a hotel. The bar staff and host were unfriendly and seemed uncaring; they were all coughing, probably spreading COVID, and we’ve been sick ever since. It feels like a seasonal filler where you’re just a guest in their home with zero interaction. If you want parties and late nights with little focus on skiing, this is the spot. Otherwise, just go somewhere else for a good ski trip.
Immaculate vibe. Stay classy. There's nothing to hate here
