A very friendly staff, a modern, clean hotel in a great spot, but the traffic noise from the bridge is annoying when you keep your window open to sleep.

The location is superb and the architecture is stunning. Breakfast, though, fell apart – it used to be perfect a couple of years ago, but this August was a total disaster: staff were virtually absent or unhelpful, the eggs (the highlight of the buffet) were terrible, the bacon was no better, and the pastries were forgettable. It’s a shame because everything else could have been flawless.

The hotel was tidy and orderly, yet the restaurant fell short of the rest of the property – the prices were too high for the poor quality.

The room is spacious and the materials feel carefully chosen, plus the multi‑storey parking under the building is super handy for drivers like me. The view straight onto the docks is also very romantic.
