Al Reem Desert Camp in Al Bulaydah, Muscat, offers breathtaking mountain views and a barbecue area. Each of its units features a seating area and private bathroom with bath and free toiletries. Amenities include a children's playground, on-site bar, and restaurant. Horse riding is popular in the area, and car hire is available for guests.

The camp in the middle of the desert was magnificent, and the staff’s kindness went out of their way to make us feel comfortable even though we were alone, which we appreciated because we enjoyed the camp by ourselves; it was a wonderful first experience, and thanks a lot to MANNAN and Raouf. Our stay ended with a desert outing that was one of the best we’ve had compared to Dubai and Qatar, and it’s definitely worth doing again. It would be helpful to know whether the camp is occupied by guests at certain times, because we were really alone, but overall it remains an unforgettable experience.

I didn't like that they changed my room (downgraded to lower tier) and didn't refund me the difference. This reflect zero integrity and future visitors need to e careful when booking. I have resolved the issue through booking where I provided the evidences and they () have separately verified and credited to me the difference. This is one of the few camps in the desert that can be reached without a 4x4, yet it still feels truly desert-like, with camels wandering and goats grazing. The rooms are large and comfortable, the grill dinner is good, and the highlight is the evening campfire that they lit for us even though we were the only guests at the hotel.

The staff were very helpful, and the dinner and breakfast were lovingly prepared and great; I can only recommend the accommodation. Unfortunately, the location isn’t really in the desert but only on the edge.
