The jungle vibe was pure, with birds and monkeys right outside the balcony, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful—thanks for everything! The only downside was that the entrance got a bit muddy after the rain.

Staying at Jungle Fence felt like a breath of fresh air surrounded by lush greenery. From the balcony I could spot monkeys, chipmunks, civets, and a whole bunch of birds, which made me feel right in nature. Dolitha, our host, greeted us warmly and ensured we had everything we needed. The room was spotless and air‑conditioned, the bed linens were clean, and fresh towels were provided. About 200 metres away, breakfast was served in a family garden that was a beautiful natural setting; the food was delicious and filling, and Dolitha’s wife, who was very warm and hospitable, served it. Dolitha introduced us to his lovely family, who made us feel welcomed and chatted with us. He even showed us around his garden, explaining the medicinal plants, fruit trees, and spices he grew. The property is roughly a five‑minute walk to the beach and local bars and restaurants. It was truly a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for peace, tranquility, and good value for money.

It was perfect for a secluded getaway. The family was great, and they cooked wonderful breakfasts and dinners for us.

We wholeheartedly recommend this place! During our trip to Sri Lanka, we stayed in eight different accommodations, but this one was by far the best. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking — every morning we were greeted by monkeys, squirrels, and birds. The true highlight was the food. The breakfasts and dinners prepared by our host were simply outstanding — the best meals we had throughout our entire stay on the island. Every day we were treated to traditional Sri Lankan dishes, and each meal felt like a feast for the senses. What made this stay even more special was the host himself. Not only was he warm and welcoming, but he also had incredible knowledge about nature. We learned so much from him about the local environment, and his passion was truly inspiring. This wasn’t just a place to sleep — it was a heartwarming experience. We felt like we were staying with family. Thank you for everything!

That was a fantastic stay! The owners were extremely friendly and honest, doing everything they could to make our stay as good as possible. They speak English, so there was no problem communicating. Checking in late in the evening was no issue—the owner waited for us. What made this place even more exceptional was the food and cuisine. The breakfasts were really tasty, and the dinners… mniam, delicious. Every day we could order dinner and choose one of two dishes. The portions were huge, the food was fresh—directly from the market—and prepared with the highest taste and standard. I will not forget the taste of the tuna. The price was really good compared to other places in the city. Thank you for hosting us, and we expect to be back! The only downside: we stayed there too short.
