Spot on location, breakfast was top‑notch.
The restaurant was a real highlight – great food and a cozy atmosphere.
The room was clean, airy, and the environment was peaceful – definitely recommendable.

It’s a pity the description didn’t mention that the restaurant is closed on Mondays; that was one reason I chose the hotel, and after booking I learned I couldn’t dine there, which is disappointing.
“Clean and comfortable.”
Once you learn the ropes it’s easy to get around, and even though no staff were at check‑in, the email with entry instructions worked well; the room was a bit sparse but clean and comfortable, and breakfast was available even though we hadn’t booked it; the location, a small side street off the market square, is nice: St Florian is a peaceful town and the monastery is magnificent. For the price, coffee‑making facilities would have been nice; we had to ask another guest for the Wi‑Fi code because it wasn’t obvious in the room, and it wasn’t clear how to use the free private parking even though the website said it was available and all market‑square spaces were taken on Sunday afternoon, so we parked up the hill, round the corner from the monastery – plenty of spots and free as far as we could tell.
“Great Food, But Room Design Needs Work”
The restaurant was a real highlight – great food and a cozy atmosphere. The room décor, however, left something to be desired; it felt a bit outdated and could use a refresh. Overall, a solid dining experience but the room design could use a makeover.

There was no breakfast; the first‑floor rooms had steep stairs without a lift, so it wasn’t ideal for people with mobility issues.
“danke für die Gastfreundschaft, wir kommen wieder!!”
Everything worked well, the accommodation was very nice, the breakfast room looked great, and the breakfast itself was good!
