We stayed at Balcarres for two nights while touring Scotland and it was a wonderful experience. It served as a perfect base for exploring Fort William and hiking Ben Nevis. Caroline and Andy were lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome. A highlight was the amazing breakfast, freshly cooked by Caroline every morning—what a lovely way to start the day before heading out into the beautiful Scottish Highlands! Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Balcarres to anyone visiting Fort William. We would definitely stay again!

I highly recommend staying here; it feels less like a B&B and more like a family vacation. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything we needed was on site. The breakfasts are insane and huge; there is a real variety so everyone finds something they like.

The stay was extraordinary, the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was extremely good and lovingly prepared. A special mention goes to the hosts, Carol and Andy, whose charming and especially humorous nature and valuable tips about the area made the stay something special! Everything was truly to our satisfaction.
