The staff were pleasant. Importantly, we were in August, the radiators were warm – nights can be cool in that region, so that was a big plus. We bought breakfast, which we thought was too expensive; we paid almost twice as much, and it wasn’t special.

I walked a short distance to the center and found a charming garden; the hostess is the kindest woman I’ve met and the room is spacious and spotless. I didn’t dislike anything, just remember you can’t pay by card so bring cash.

This guest house feels like a Georgian family home—warm, welcoming, with a lovely garden. The owner was very kind and helpful, and the shower was excellent while the kitchen and dining area were fully equipped for cooking. The only downside was the steep hill climb, though that’s typical around Stepantsminda.
