The décor had a retro feel with a Nanyang style, and although the wooden walls made sound travel poorly, the place was still comfortable and not dirty. The staff were warm and attentive. The sound insulation was really bad because downstairs is a barbecue shop that also runs a homestay and stays open past midnight, which isn’t great for early sleepers but is a perk for night owls and drinkers who can finish a barbecue, have a drink, and then climb back to their room to sleep.
