Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the glamping site had lights around the perimeter and a small step that felt safe. Inside, the tent was simply furnished with a bed, table and a few items, yet very comfortable, and having a separate building for the toilet, sink and shower in front of the tent was a plus. The only problem was insects.

I never expected Oki to serve A5‑grade wagyu, specifically BMS 11‑12, for dinner; I thought such premium beef was only available in Tokyo’s Ginza. The marbling was impressive, so the meat cooked quickly, and I was impressed. The morning grilled sandwich was also tasty, and the onions came from Umi‑cho, showing a thorough commitment to local produce. The only minor issue was that when the toilet and shower doors were swung fully open and tucked into the door frame, there was no latch, making it a struggle to pull the doors back.

The staff were mostly young, and they arranged a surprise for my husband’s birthday; the neighboring hotel even had a hot spring, making the whole place wonderful. I’d love to return if I get the chance.

The location was great, but the bathroom and shower lacked air‑conditioning, and the breakfast, while tasty, left me wanting a bit more.
