The place is in a great spot and the old Palazzo is stunning. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good.

“Loved the location in the historic centre. Easy to get around to see the city and shop.”

The hotel sits in the central historic part of town and is full of fine art and sculptures, plus it feels very secure. The only downside was that the room was on the second floor, so carrying luggage up the worn, slippery marble stairs was a hassle; the staff helped a lot, but they were only around for a short time in the afternoon.

We had a train mishap and were going to arrive later than planned, but after calling the hotel they helped us out and even arranged a cab. The decor was amazing, full of art, and we loved the location and the private terrace. We would have liked to stay another day and would definitely come back. Nothing we didn’t enjoy; as usual in Italy there were stairs to get into our suite, and we hadn’t listened to the people saying “carry on” to help maneuver, but overall it wasn’t a problem.
