“Avvisare gli inquilini quando arrivano gli ospiti.”
The new, spacious bathroom and breakfast with vouchers at Il Gabbiano pastry shop, plus Mr. Michele who kindly offered us umbrellas, were positives. However, it’s more of a single room (probably carved from the owner’s house) with a connecting door to another apartment. There’s no soundproofing—not because cars are heard from the main road but because residents in the building are noisy. The small entrance door opens onto a landing where you hear people running up and down the stairs, shouting, and dogs barking. At night, when someone entered the building, the main door slammed, waking us several times, and the stairwell lights would flicker through the sliding door gap. On the afternoon of our arrival, we wanted to rest after a long trip but couldn’t because a lady was talking nonstop (not sure if she was on the phone or what), so we left; the situation didn’t improve when we returned. Sleep‑deprived nights were a real nightmare for us who wanted to rest.
