I loved the laid‑back island vibe at Ziggy Stardust, the peaceful, nature‑close setting matched the slow, easygoing feel of Koh Phayam perfectly, and there were no major issues—just remember the island is naturally simpler and more rustic than a typical resort.

The food was good and the staff were attentive, but avoid it in the low season (July) because the beach is littered with trash, nearby restaurants and bars are closed, and a canvas is set up to block the sea view and keep the debris from spilling onto the cabana grounds, which made the atmosphere feel pretty grimy.

The food was amazing, especially the breakfast that’s included—best I’ve had while traveling, and you get choices! The beds were really comfortable and the location was perfect, though it could have been cleaner.

The location was almost perfect; the beach is long and shallow, great even for small children. There are newer and older cottages; the older ones are probably closer to the beach and could use a bit of updating. The air conditioning worked well and there was also a fan.
