“Eco-friendly really does mean Eco-freiend but the included adventure MORE than makes up for it”
We booked this place as a stop on our way north from Arugam Bay; an eco village with a big hut for two families seemed ideal. The description didn’t make clear that all beds were in the same room and there were no fans or A/C. The host was easy to work with and let us move into a hut with separate bedrooms and A/C. The real highlight was a post‑breakfast eco adventure: a tractor‑pulled cart to the beach, swimming in the Bay of Bengal, picking pippies in the sand, and helping local fishermen haul in their nets. That made the basic accommodation worthwhile. I’d probably stay again, mainly for the adventure. A more upfront description of the room would help: no fans, no A/C in the main hut, all beds in one room. Showers were cold, and the Wi‑Fi was at best intermittent (just a 4G repeater).
