The house and rooms are very clean and well maintained. The linens are fresh and changed every second day. The rooftop pool is great! Breakfast is homemade and tasty. Rita and her husband really want to give guests a genuine Mexican experience! The noise at night (traffic, roosters, etc.) is quite loud—bring ear plugs.

I liked the location, right next to Mazunte, and the staff were very friendly, giving us plenty of spot recommendations and dining suggestions. The downside was the proximity to the highway, so the night traffic was noisy; during the three days we stayed, the room wasn’t cleaned even after we reported it, and the room door had a window without a curtain, which made us feel a bit exposed.

The pool area was a highlight. However, the room’s bathroom was uncomfortable with ants, and the windows in the rooms weren’t closed, so you could see inside and you couldn’t change clothes without being seen.

Everything was rustic and basic, just the essentials but well done; the hosts were excellent.

People were attentive and the external security at the inn was solid. The only issues were that they didn’t give you a key to the room, and they didn’t tell you what services you could buy, like food and its hours. It felt like those were private owner services and it was awkward to ask.
