Guests can enjoy Asian breakfast, lunch, and dinner on-site. The Kyoto International Manga Museum is a 3-minute walk away, while Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and Heian Shrine are nearby.

The only thing that impressed me was the location. The rest of the experience was one of the worst I've had in Japan. The property’s condition, cleanliness, facilities, and especially the customer service were all unacceptable. The rooms were poorly maintained, with stained curtains, insects, and bad odors. The hotel itself had a general unpleasant smell, and the reception area was always cluttered with luggage, giving off a chaotic vibe. The Wi‑Fi was extremely unreliable; it kept dropping during important work meetings, forcing me to rely almost entirely on my personal travel data. Despite raising the issue multiple times, the staff offered no real fix. Instead, they moved me to another room with a terrible smell and told me to test the connection for about 20 minutes myself. It’s unacceptable for a paying guest to have to test the hotel’s facilities from room to room; the hotel should have resolved this before offering rooms. When I asked about disposing of an old suitcase, they quoted an outrageous ¥5,000, which I found completely unreasonable. The hotel’s handling of my complaints showed a total lack of professionalism and guest consideration. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing stay. The hotel needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, customer service, and basic facilities. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.

The room was spotless and tidy. The facilities were brand new and well maintained. The staff were lovely, always smiling and greeting me when they passed by.

The station is close, which I liked. However, the fragrance in front of the elevator at the entrance was so strong it made me feel sick; I had to hold my breath.

Tomo and Kyo were fantastic hosts. The bar and restaurant were both great, the staff was very helpful, and the rooms were well appointed. I would definitely recommend it. The bathroom lighting was awful; if I had a girlfriend, she would have been furious trying to do her makeup.
