Staff were lovely; location was great; food was exceptional. Somewhere to sit and relax with friends prior to our meal and a small table to put a coffee cup down on in our room would have made our stay perfect

Very close to town harbour and steam trains. Staff were very friendly, nothing too much trouble, and breakfast was very good. If I was coming back to Porthmadog I would definitely stay here again. Very clean and the room was cleaned everyday with a comfy bed. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was never enough tea and milk to keep going, so I bought both in the end; if you like your tea you need to do so. Booking in isn’t plain enough—you have to do it at the restaurant next door, and although it states 2.30pm, booking in took us until 2.45 to get someone’s attention; maybe this can be made easier as there was no answer after ringing the doorbell.

Location to town, the steam railway and Portmeirion. Noisy electrical appliances kept us awake throughout the night.
