Marian proved to be an outstanding host, making sure we lacked nothing and also cooking superbly, his homemade sausages were a real treat, yet because we booked only two hours ahead the room wasn’t clean when we arrived, though Nona Maria sorted it out quickly.
A family‑run hotel restaurant that’s superb and worth recommending, it gave me the best part of my trip both in terms of food and the warm welcome.
I loved staying in the historic part of Orosh and experiencing genuine Albanian hospitality from the owner and his wonderful mother; the food was generous and tasty, and I felt completely at home—Mirditë is the real Albania waiting to be discovered.
“Genuine hospitality in the mountains”
The owner Marjan’s hospitality is unparalleled, making you feel like you’re in an Albanian home; the food—especially the excellent Italian dishes—was outstanding, and Marjan was very helpful with transport. The house is great for walking to Nenshejt and the Highland plateau, so if you want a bit of adventure, Orosh is the place to go.
