Location right in the town centre is ideal. The room was very large (House "Style") and lacked nothing. Breakfast was excellent, including a selection of freshly cooked eggs. Overall everything was fine, but the mattresses felt a bit too soft for me—subjective, of course.

The eggs at the Pfandl breakfast were excellent, as was the café à la carte. The staff at breakfast and reception were very friendly. The carpet in the room had a strange cleaning‑product smell; after airing it out for a while it cleared up. The towels were small. The hotel’s own lake access, despite having staff stationed there, wasn’t as well maintained as I’d expect from a four‑star hotel.

The location by the lake and near other key spots in Velden is very good. The reception staff deserve praise. Parking is convenient, but not cheap. The bread selection at breakfast was disappointing—there’s room for improvement. The coffee situation isn’t clearly communicated. The price‑to‑value ratio isn’t optimal.

The spot is great, right across from the casino in the middle of Velden, and the breakfast was really tasty with plenty of choices, even for vegetarians and vegans. The rooms are very quiet, spacious, and have an extra toilet. The building looks a bit old‑fashioned, though.
